Surgery, radiation and drug therapy for breast cancer, given in an order a tumour board plans from your reports.
We reply to every enquiry within 24 hours
Solid tumours and blood cancers, treated with surgery (including robotic), chemotherapy, radiation, proton therapy, immunotherapy and CAR-T.
Cancer treatment usually combines several methods: surgery to remove the tumour, chemotherapy (medicines that kill cancer cells), radiation therapy, and in some cases targeted therapy or immunotherapy. At many hospitals the plan is agreed by a tumour board, a meeting of surgeons, medical oncologists and radiation oncologists who review your case together.
The most useful reports to send first are the biopsy report (histopathology), any receptor or marker tests done on the tissue, and your latest PET-CT, CT or MRI scans. Add a summary of treatment so far. If the biopsy slides and tissue blocks are available, keep them safe, because the hospital may want to review them.
Cancer care can mean several weeks of treatment, so the length of stay, the visa it needs and the distance from home matter when you compare countries. Quotes are often split by stage: surgery, each cycle of chemotherapy and the full course of radiation. Ask each hospital to name the medicines in its quote, because drug costs vary with the brand used.
