About MediCurage

MediCurage is a medical travel facilitator based in Hyderabad, India. We compare hospitals in India, Turkey, Thailand, Malaysia and Mexico for your case, and you choose where to be treated.

Why MediCurage exists

In many countries, the treatment a patient needs is either far too expensive or not offered at all. A family in Nairobi learns that a father needs heart surgery. A woman in Ohio is quoted a price for dental implants that would empty her savings. A boy in Baghdad needs a kidney transplant that no hospital near home can do. Too often, the search ends there.

We started MediCurage because it does not have to end there. Good hospitals exist in many countries, at very different prices, and the right one for a patient depends on the case, the cost, the distance and the visa. Our aim is simple to say and hard to do: cost and geography should not decide who gets treated.

MediCurage is a new company with no long history to point to. So we have built it around a short list of things we do ourselves, which you can hold us to.

Five countries, and you choose

We arrange treatment in five countries: India, Turkey, Thailand, Malaysia and Mexico. Each has its own strengths and its own rules. A patient from Texas may find Mexico a short flight away. A family from Dhaka or Colombo may find India the closest of the five, and often the lowest priced. Someone from Jakarta may look at Malaysia first, and someone from Berlin or Sydney at Thailand or Turkey.

You can tell us the country you prefer, or choose "No preference" on our quote form and let hospitals in several countries quote. Either way, the country and the hospital are your choice.

Patients come to us from anywhere. The first message may come from the patient, a son or daughter, or an agent, and we work with whoever is helping.

What we do, and what hospitals do

We coordinate. Hospitals and doctors diagnose and treat. Decisions about your treatment are made by you and your treating doctor, and we make no promises about medical results.

What we own, and answer for:

A reply within 24 hours. We reply to every enquiry within 24 hours, and the reply comes from a person who has read your message.
The medical opinion. We send your reports to specialist doctors for review and get you their written opinion.
Hospital quotes. We ask partner hospitals in the country or countries you choose to quote for your case, and show you the quotes side by side.
Your visa paperwork. We check the visa rules for your nationality and your destination, request the hospital's invitation or treatment letter where one is needed, and help you and your attendants prepare your applications. The visa itself is decided by the destination country's government.
Travel and stay. Flight booking if you want it, pickup and drop at the airport nearest your hospital, and a place to stay close to the hospital.
People beside you. A named coordinator who knows your case, and an interpreter for Arabic or another language when you need one.
Follow up. After you go home, we stay in touch and pass your questions to the doctor who treated you.

If something on that list goes wrong, tell your coordinator. It is ours to fix.

Open costing, across countries

Prices you find online are averages. The number that matters is the price for your case, from the hospital that will treat you. So we work in a fixed order. Tell us what you need. Hospitals quote. You choose.

Once the treatment is clear, we send the same case summary to several partner hospitals, in one country or several. Each quotes its own price and lists what it covers. You see the quotes together, with the expected stay and anything left out. We do not push you towards any hospital or any country.

What a price includes differs between countries and hospitals, so we ask each hospital to spell it out in writing.

You pay the hospital directly, through its own billing, and the receipts are in the patient's name.

Where we are

Our office is in Hyderabad, in the south of India. That is where our team works from. We do not have offices in the other four countries; our coordinators arrange your care there by phone, email and WhatsApp with the hospital you choose, and a driver or representative we book meets you when you land.
